So, here we go…today we are working on clearing out the refrigerator of all the left-overs and non-fruit and vegetable items. Lentils and a piece of Swordfish for lunch….a fresh juice and a half of a roasted turkey sandwich for a snack. Tonight we will finish off the last of our turkey and chicken chili. Maybe a banana and some faux chocolate pudding (made from dates, figs and raw cocoa powder) for dessert.
Today we went up to Madison’s in Findlay Market to get all of the fruit and vegetables we will need. We bought 25 cucumber, 24 lemons, Swiss Chard, Kale, Spinach, Pineapples, Apples, Grapes, Celery, Carrots, Red Beets, Bok Choy, Strawberries, Watercress and Cilantro! We filled five bags and the back of our little Subaru!
This is how our Refrigerator looks now!
I’m excited to get started and then again I’m not! Really looking forward to seeing how it will make me feel. I think I’m ready for the sluggishness that the lack of ‘hard’ food will bring on. We will see! Right now I’m pretty optimistic about the experience.
I’m looking forward to the purity that I know I’m going to feel when my body realizes that I’m giving it a break from ‘hard’ food. I have set an intention with this Fast to bring me more clarity and to open me up to a clearer sense of creativity! I’ve been wanting to do this for such a long time. Then, spending time at Easton Mountain with the participants at our Retreat and watching, “Fat, Sick and Almost Dead”, pushed us forward. Its all about experimenting with our lives!
