Most people Choose Happiness. Happiness is a broad term that means different things to different people. But most of us agree that to be happy, we want to be healthy in body, mind and spirit. Find Your Heart, Lose Your Mind, offers suggestions for ways to increase your level of self-love so you can make better decisions about how to live a healthier, happier life. Life is a series of choices. How to make healthy choices for yourself can take practice. This Seven Day Retreat is for anyone who is seeking to fulfill their deep-seeded impulse towards inner freedom, peace of mind and lasting happiness. It is designed to introduce you to practices for all parts of your being.
Through Movement and Exercise: We will explore different methods for moving your body to find the type that is best for you. To bring your physical Being into health you need to move it. We will do yoga both traditional Hatha and our unique version of yoga-exercise called ‘Yoga with a kick’. We will also hike Hawaii’s beautiful landscape, visiting both black and green sand beaches, secluded waterfalls and exploring luscious deep valleys. Our relationship with nature allows us to feel our heart beat which reminds us that we are alive!
Through Concentration and Meditation Practices: We will offer you ways to make your own mind a friend rather than a foe. Through breathing, chanting and even mindful movement we will offer tools that will change your mind from an internal task master to a loving companion.
Through Fun and Relaxation: We will play in the surf or Kalani’s pool; we will learn to play the Ukulele, relax in the sun and experience the joy of a unique Water Dance Class.
Through Dance and Mindful Journeying: We will bring the week together with a movement/dance/inner journey session that will help us to free our spirit from the confines of our mind. We will use our breathing, concentration, and movement practices to let go and Free Our Heart!
This week long retreat is designed to bring a sense of Spirit into your everyday World, so that inner freedom, peace of mind and happiness are all part of your everyday experience.
The retreat package includes lodging, all meals, adventures and classes.
Space is limited to 16 people. There are 2 – Double Occupancy Rooms and 4 – Triple Occupancy Rooms, all with private baths. We will also have our own Yoga/Dance/Meditation Room and a sun deck for morning coffee or tea or in the evening for gazing into the vast star-filled sky!
You will need to fly into Hilo, Hawaii. The Airport is served by United (via Los Angeles) and Hawaiian Air (via Honolulu). Plan to arrive on Sunday, Jan. 8th, 2017 – the Retreat opens on the morning of Jan. 9th, 2017. Plan to return home on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017. From the Hilo Airport it is about an hour drive to Kalani.
